Ahmedabad to Bhavnagar Buses Now Running on New Dholera Express Highway
Ahmedabad Bhavnagar Bus: In a major move to enhance passenger comfort and travel experience, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has decided to route all premium AC buses plying between Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar via the newly constructed Ahmedabad-Dholera Express Highway.
The decision, taken under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi, aims to provide faster, safer, and more comfortable journeys to commuters. Buses operating from Gandhinagar to Diu and Gandhinagar to Mahuva will also use this new express highway.
Hourly Services & Reduced Fares
Under the new arrangement, premium AC buses will operate every hour from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM from both Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar, resulting in a total of 24 daily trips.
Due to the new route, the fare between Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar has been reduced to ₹336, offering passengers a savings of approximately ₹15.
New Non-Stop Volvo Service on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
Additionally, GSRTC has introduced a new Non-Stop Volvo service on the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway.
- Ahmedabad (Nehru Nagar) to Surat: 6:45 AM
- Surat to Ahmedabad (Nehru Nagar): 1:00 PM
The fare for this new Surat route has been fixed at ₹687, providing passengers an estimated savings of around ₹61.

GSRTC officials stated that the use of modern express highways will significantly reduce travel time and offer superior amenities to passengers. The corporation has appealed to all commuters to make maximum use of these premium and convenient services.
