Unclaimed Financial Assets Portal: In a major step towards improving financial transparency and citizen convenience, the Department of Financial Services (DFS) has launched the Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets, a unified platform designed to help individuals search for and claim their unclaimed financial assets.
The portal, developed in collaboration with the Public Sector Bank Alliance (PSBA), brings together multiple search facilities under one roof. Citizens can now access information related to unclaimed bank deposits, insurance claims, shares, dividends, and mutual funds through a single online platform.
Government aims to create transparent and citizen-centric financial ecosystem
According to the Finance Ministry, the initiative aims to create a more accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric financial ecosystem. The newly launched portal is expected to simplify the process of locating dormant or forgotten financial assets that often remain unclaimed for years.
DFS Secretary says portal will improve public convenience
Speaking on the occasion, DFS Secretary M. Nagaraju said the portal would significantly enhance public convenience by consolidating access to various search services in one place. He added that the initiative would strengthen ongoing efforts to reconnect individuals with their rightful financial assets.

The launch comes amid increasing efforts by the government and financial institutions to improve awareness regarding unclaimed assets and ensure that rightful owners or their nominees can recover them with ease.
