India’s leading dairy brand Amul has announced the Amul Milk Price Hike across various milk variants, increasing prices by ₹2 per litre from May 14, 2026. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) stated that the decision was taken due to rising cattle feed, packaging, and transportation costs, along with efforts to provide better returns to dairy farmers.

Ahmedabad: India’s leading dairy brand Amul has announced a hike of ₹2 per litre in milk prices. The revised rates will come into effect from May 14, 2026. According to the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the decision was taken due to rising production and cattle feed costs.
Rising Production Costs Behind the Decision
The company stated that expenses related to cattle feed, packaging materials, transportation, and overall milk production have increased significantly in recent months. Amul also said the price revision will help provide better returns to dairy farmers.
Revised Milk Prices
Under the new rates, prices of various Amul milk variants including Amul Gold, Amul Taaza, and Amul Shakti have been increased. The price of 1-litre packs has gone up by ₹2, while 500 ml pouches have seen an increase of around ₹1.
