Ahmedabad: India’s leading dairy brand Amul has announced a hike of ₹2 per litre in milk prices. The revised rates will come into effect from May 14, 2026. According to the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the decision was taken due to rising production and cattle feed costs.

Rising Production Costs Behind the Decision

The company stated that expenses related to cattle feed, packaging materials, transportation, and overall milk production have increased significantly in recent months. Amul also said the price revision will help provide better returns to dairy farmers.
