India and the Nordic nations have steadily expanded cooperation in sectors such as clean technologies, maritime industries, healthcare innovation, and sustainable urban development over the past few years.

Trade and investment remain key priorities during the summit. With the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) now in force, both sides are looking to strengthen economic engagement and create stronger business linkages.
India’s bilateral trade with the Nordic bloc currently stands at nearly 19 billion US dollars, reflecting growing economic cooperation between the regions. The leaders are also expected to explore new investment opportunities in renewable energy, green hydrogen, digital infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.
Bilateral Meetings on Sidelines of Summit
Apart from the multilateral discussions, Prime Minister Modi will hold separate bilateral meetings with the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, and Finland on the sidelines of the summit.
The meetings are expected to review ongoing collaborations and identify new areas of partnership in innovation, education, climate action, and security cooperation.
