Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates during the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela through video conferencing today. The Prime Minister will also address the newly appointed youth on the occasion.
Rozgar Mela Strengthening Employment Generation
The Rozgar Mela initiative has been launched by the Central Government with the aim of accelerating employment generation and providing meaningful job opportunities to the youth across the country. The programme reflects the government’s focus on strengthening public sector recruitment and empowering young professionals through timely appointments.
According to official information, nearly 12 lakh recruitment letters have been issued so far through 18 Rozgar Melas conducted across India since the initiative began. The programme has emerged as a major platform for connecting qualified candidates with government employment opportunities in various ministries and departments.
Recruitment Across Key Government Departments
The 19th Rozgar Mela will be organised at 47 locations nationwide. Candidates selected from different parts of the country will join several government departments and organisations, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Department of Higher Education, among others.
Officials said the newly recruited candidates will take up positions in different sectors and services, contributing to governance, public administration, healthcare, education, and infrastructure development. The government believes that such recruitment drives will further strengthen administrative efficiency and support national development goals.
