Government Plans Integrated Approach for Education Schemes

These include Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), PM-POSHAN, ULLAS, PM-SHRI, and other major initiatives aimed at strengthening the school education ecosystem across the country.
According to Mr. Pradhan, the convergence of these programmes is expected to ensure better coordination, effective implementation, and improved outcomes in the education sector.
Centre-State Coordination and Cooperative Federalism Discussed
The meeting also focused on strengthening Centre-State engagement while maintaining the spirit of cooperative federalism. Officials and participants discussed strategies to enhance accountability and optimise the utilisation of educational funds to achieve long-term developmental goals.
Renewed Push for NEP 2020 Implementation
The review comes at a time when the Centre is working to align school education reforms with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The Education Minister reiterated that there will be renewed focus on innovation, nutrition, skill development, sports, and arts education as part of the implementation of NEP 2020. He stressed that these reforms are crucial for nurturing empowered learners and preparing a future-ready workforce.
Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047
Mr. Pradhan further stated that the initiatives will play a significant role in building the human capital necessary for achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the government’s roadmap for transforming India into a developed nation by its centenary year of independence.
The Samagra Shiksha scheme, which integrates school education from pre-primary to senior secondary levels, remains one of the Centre’s flagship programmes aimed at improving quality, equity, and access in education across India.
