The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued its latest state weather bulletin, indicating that hot and dry conditions will continue across Gujarat for the next seven days, with only minor relief expected in select regions.
Rising Temperatures Across the State
According to the IMD’s Ahmedabad centre, maximum temperatures are hovering between 40°C and 42°C in many parts of Gujarat. The department noted that no significant change in temperature is expected, keeping heatwave-like conditions intact through the week.
Dry Weather Dominates
The forecast suggests that most districts will continue to witness dry weather, with clear to partly cloudy skies dominating the region. Agricultural and outdoor activities may proceed uninterrupted due to the absence of major weather disturbances.
Light Rain Possible in Isolated Areas
Despite the prevailing heat, IMD has indicated the possibility of light rain or thundershowers in isolated pockets, particularly in parts of South Gujarat and the Saurashtra region. However, these events are expected to be brief and scattered, offering only temporary relief from the heat.

Importantly, the IMD bulletin states that no warnings have been issued for the state over the next seven days. This means there are no expected threats from cyclones, heavy rainfall, or severe storms during this period.
