IMD Issues Rain Alert for Gujarat: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall at isolated places across Gujarat on May 22 and 23. According to the latest forecast issued by the IMD Ahmedabad Centre, several districts may witness thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds during the two-day weather activity.
Weather Conditions Becoming Favorable for Rainfall
The weather department said changing atmospheric conditions and moisture flow from the Arabian Sea are likely to increase rainfall activity in parts of the state. Areas of Saurashtra, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat are expected to receive scattered showers along with cloudy weather conditions.
Districts Likely to Receive Rainfall
Districts including Bhavnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Navsari, Valsad, and Dang may experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorm activity at isolated places. Ahmedabad and nearby regions could also receive brief rain showers during this period.

Dry weather very likely in remaining districts of the region
IMD Advises Citizens to Stay Alert
The IMD has advised people to remain cautious during lightning and thunderstorm conditions. Citizens are urged to avoid standing under trees or in open fields during storm activity.
Rainfall May Bring Relief from Heat
The forecast is expected to bring temporary relief from rising temperatures and humid conditions across Gujarat. Farmers have also been advised to monitor local weather updates before carrying out agricultural activities.
Fishermen Warned About Sea Conditions
Meanwhile, fishermen along the Gujarat coast have been asked to follow weather advisories as wind speed over the Arabian Sea may increase.
